As a chairman of this college, I continue to live up the dream of a noble visionary late Haji Kareem Suleman Jaffer or Cummoo Seth, by giving my constant support to the cause of women's education. His ambition of making education accessible to women particularly of minority community was, well ahead of his time. Hence, we carry on his legacy to bring change in the society at large by successfully running this educational institution since 1939 and later, we started CJS College in 1999, which was followed by CJS Degree College for higher education.
Imparting a quality education is the biggest service to the individual, to the nation and to humanity the world over. We wish to provide our students a holistic learning experience for life. Our aim is to teach students to LEARN, not just STUDY. Hence, we strive to travel beyond the boundaries of mere books. We prepare our students to face the future which is abstract and unknown.
I have not the slightest doubt that the college will continue to play its leading role in the women's higher education. This website highlights multifarious activities and achievements of our college. CJS faculty and staff pledge their best efforts in helping you attain your educational goals.
I wish all the best to all the students for their career and academic pursuit.
With Best wishes,
Late Mr. Rehmatullah Abdul Kadar Gubitra
Hon’ble Chairman
CJS College of Arts and Commerce for Women
At our institution, we believe that every learner who walks through our gates carries within her an inexhaustible source of talent, courage, and purpose. Our mission is to ignite that potential so each of you can stride beyond traditional boundaries and become architects of a more just, equitable and prosperous society.
No institution can achieve these aims without extraordinary teachers. Our faculty are not mere instructors they are mentors, strategists and co‑creators in your intellectual journey. Their guidance, coupled with state‑of‑the-art laboratories, digital learning hubs and industry partnerships, ensures that what you learn today remains relevant in the rapidly evolving workplace of tomorrow.
Yet infrastructure and curricula tell only half the story. Our campus culture is built on respect, inclusivity and resolute advocacy for women’s rights. Here, we pledge to defend that voice and to provide safe spaces where you can experiment, debate and grow without fear.
To the young women who will soon lead boardrooms, classrooms, laboratories and parliaments: seize change before it seizes you. Master emerging technologies. Champion sustainability. Stand for those whose voices are muted. Above all, remember that true empowerment lies not in personal success alone but in elevating others as you rise.
I invite each of you to write a chapter of excellence that future generations of women will read with pride—and surpass. Together, let us convert ambition into accomplishment and ideals into enduring impact.
With Best wishes,
Mr. Rizwan R. Gubitra
Hon’ble Chairman
